Message in a Bottle

A simple idea that could save your life.

The Message in a Bottle scheme gives emergency services instant access to your medical details when they need it most — even if you can't tell them yourself.

How it works

You fill in a simple double sided form with your personal and medical details — existing conditions, medications, allergies, and who to contact in an emergency.

That form goes inside a small plastic bottle which you keep in your fridge where it is visible to anyone opening the fridge door.Two stickers are included.

One goes on the inside of your front door. One goes on the fridge door.  The reason the pot is kept inside the fridge is because if there was a fire in the home, the fridge is made of metal  therefore the pot should be protected from burning.

The emergency services in the area know about this scheme. If an ambulance, fire crew or police officer is called to your home and sees the sticker, they go straight to the fridge, retrieve the bottle, and have everything they need to help you — even if you're unconscious or unable to speak

It's completely free.

The bottles and forms are supplied at no cost by Rugby Rokeby Lions Club. We can arrange collection or delivery to your door.
